New Clinical Advisor

We are delighted to announce that Dr Tamsyn Anderson has agreed to take on the role as System Clinical Advisor for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Health and Care Partnership during the next phase of our transformation.
Through her previous work as medical director for NHS Kernow and currently as Director of Primary Care for Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, a post she will continue to hold, she has extensive experience of working with colleagues in provider and commissioner organisations across our health and social care system. She also continues to work as a practising GP, having insight into the front line achievements and frustrations faced by our patients and clinicians. Given the roles that Tamsyn now holds, we believe she is extremely well placed to provide clinical leadership as we take forward our system priorities including the delivery of placed based integrated health and care.

On talking about this opportunity Tamsyn commented:

“When our community and clinicians work together around an individual’s needs we can deliver the high quality, safe care experiences that make us proud to work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly but there are still barriers that hinder us working in this way. We have developed Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Health and Care Partnership ideas as a system and now it is time for us to deliver our team approach to caring for our most vulnerable and meeting our commitment to keeping people well.”.

Tamsyn will take up her new duties progressively during October and November.
